Systemic Proteolytic Enzymes and the Immune System

Research shows that enzyme therapy decreases inflammation, stimulates cytokine production, and increases the defensive powers of natural killer cells and macrophages. Both natural killer cells and macrophages scan the body seeking abnormal cancer cells and viruses. Stimulating these immune system defenses reduces the risk of cancer developing, growing and spreading.

Systemic enzymes regulate the activity of the numerous responses of the immune system. They are attracted towards pro-inflammatory cytokines including tumor necrosis factor (TNF) and C- reactive protein(CRP). Enzyme therapy can be used to decrease the over stimulated activity of tumor growth factor-beta at the site of protein synthesis. There have been no major adverse side effects from the use of systemic enzyme supplementation. Seems a little confusing BUT basically it is good VS bad. There are enzymes that stimulate the good to overpower the bad. We always promote the natural enzyme power of healing! When you control and regulate using Systemic Enzymes, they can overpower and inhibit the growth of cancer.

Systemic Enzyme Use

Systemic enzyme supplementation is best coming from an array of plant and animal enzymes. When you consume raw, sprouted, and fermented vegetables and fruits you are taking in more enzymes. Three of the best plant-based proteolytic enzymes include papain, bromelain and rutin. Chymotrypsin, pancreatin, and trypsin are enzymes from animals.

Papain and bromelain are cysteine groups found in proteinase components and can influence tumor development.

Systemic enzymes are formulated to reach the bloodstream fully intact and not become dissolved in stomach acid. To ensure optimal absorption, systemic proteolytic enzymes should be consumed on an empty stomach. This allows for their passage into the bloodstream where they can then be circulated  throughout the entire body.

Serracor and #Fibrosis #Inflammation

“Fibrosis is the result of inflammation. Inflammation caused by the injury, by the surgery, by a burn, whatever the cause inflammation is one of two things that drive the growth of fibrosis [i.e. scar tissue] … If the inflammation can be brought under control the keloid formation might be arrested. Plastic surgeons routinely have administered local injections of cortisone in attempts to slow down the inflammation and stop the formation of keloids.

These attempts are mostly failures and if pronounced the keloid itself may have to be surgically excised, which may in turn begin the round of keloid formation all over again.” Cure for Keloids *

Sometimes a small surgical scar/wound where skin and the connective tissue layers beneath are involved hopefully is healing without the formation of keloids. What are keloids? They are hard, unsightly scars raised up, overgrown connective tissue, essentially  a form of fibrosis / scar tissue.

Exercise

Let's be honest now, everyone over 50 feels stiff, has muscle soreness and is not as flexible as they were before. Do you feel stiffness in your joints and muscles? Is it worse in the morning?

It may be because you don’t move much. Time to get moving! Stretch those muscles out, and take baby steps to incorporate physical activity into your routine.

Even if it is a 5-minute walk, a few stretching exercises, or a light swim, any movement can help maintain joint flexibility and prevent pain and stiffness. If you work at a desk, then once an hour get moving! The top of each hour just stand and march in place for 250 steps. It will really get things moving along and soon you will feel less muscle stress and fatigue.

Exercise Stiff Joint Relief

Before you know it, you will be able to run a few minutes at a time. Many agree that interval training is better than just one physical exercise a day.

Anti-inflammatory Diet

As arthritis is an inflammatory disease, it may be beneficial to follow an anti-inflammatory diet to relieve severe joint pain.
It is suggested that omega-3 fatty acids help reduce joint stiffness and muscle pain. Consume 2 servings of fatty fish a week, nuts, olive oil, lots of leafy greens, and add anti-inflammatory spices such as turmeric to your dishes. Remember, nothing works like magic. You need to be consistent, and follow a life-long healthy diet to help prevent inflammatory-related conditions.

To get over the initial fatigue of muscle and joint pain, switch up your daily routine and incorporate some of these natural tips. Remember that healthy habits take time to adapt to. Be patient, and you will notice the benefits. Always consult your doctor before making any changes.

5 Weird Ways Inflammation Affects Your Body #Excellacor

5 Weird Ways Inflammation Affects Your Body

You break out in pimples

You've always been taught that it's a combo of dead skin cells and oil that plugs a pore, mixes with P. acnes bacteria and—wham!—you've got yourself a honking zit. But evidence shows that inflammation plays a key role in acne. Researchers have found increased levels of inflammation at the cellular level of patients' skin even before spots appeared. "The skin is our largest organ, and anything happening on your skin is an outward manifestation of something going on deeper within," says Amy Myers, MD, author of The Autoimmune Solution. If you're dealing with acne, she suggests taking a close look at your diet. Often, an intolerance to some dairy may spur inflammation that can lead to breakouts, says Myers. She also notices in some of her patients that gluten may be a culprit.

You have terrible cramps

At least 85 percent of menstruating women experience a symptom of PMS every cycle, according to the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Inflammation may have a hand in that. A 2016 study found that women who have higher levels of inflammatory proteins are more likely to suffer from PMS symptoms such as mood problems, cramps, back pain, cravings, bloating and breast pain. Because there's very little research on the inflammation-PMS link, says study co-author Ellen B. Gold, PhD, the exact mechanism isn't clear yet. But you may get relief from some symptoms by reducing factors that are known to contribute to inflammation, including smoking, excess sugar consumption and eating a high-fat diet. Other things you can do to help decrease inflammation, says Gold: be physically fit, stay within a healthy weight range and follow a Mediterranean diet.

You find it hard to go to the bathroom

Yes, we're talking constipation. You may just need to eat more fiber and drink more water to move things along. But if that doesn't do it, talk to your doctor. Inflammation that results after eating a food you're sensitive to can also create stool that is tough to pass, Myers says, thanks to an immune system that goes on attack after consuming that food. Or, in some cases, the constipation could be due to an inflamed thyroid—whether from pregnancy, an infection or an autoimmune condition such as Hashimoto's disease (the most common cause of an underactive thyroid, which affects about 14 million Americans, and is seven times more common in women than in men). That means everything moves more slowly in your body, including in your GI tract, which can result in constipation.

You put on extra pounds

When you have excess levels of inflammation, your body may respond by storing fat, says Myers. Add stress to the mix, and the elevated levels of hormones can change how your body processes food, leading to more fat and, long story short, an increase in inflammation in your body. Of course, a healthy diet is important to breaking the cycle, but reining in chronic stress may be even more critical, Myers says.

You have sensitive teeth

Sure, you've heard that poor oral hygiene can lead to inflammation elsewhere in the body. However, the opposite is true, too. One recent study found that your dentist can play an important role in detecting undiagnosed conditions including diabetes, which has been linked to inflammation. If not managed properly, uncontrolled blood-sugar levels related to diabetes can translate into tender gums, tooth infections (which may not always be painful) and bone loss around teeth. "Type 2 diabetes is one we often catch in the mouth first," says Houston-based dentist Carol Alvarado, DDS. "Often, patients are not even aware this is going on," she says. That is why it is so important to see your dentist every six months (or more often, if advised).
